Safety First

Your child’s safety matters to us.

General Safety

Every child must check in at our welcome station. They receive a name tag and are offered hand sanitizer before entering classrooms.

Our check-in/check-out procedures make sure that only you can pick up your child.

Lead volunteers keep track of students with attendance sheets and have an emergency “go bag” in every classroom.

Volunteer Safety

Every volunteer is screened with a personal interview and background check before they enter a classroom.

We offer regular safety training meetings for volunteers and request that volunteers take CPR and First Aid training courses.

Our whole team (from staff members to safety personnel) is well trained to keep your kids protected so that you, can be fully present during your time in service.

Classroom Safety

We have four classrooms that are set up each Sunday that follow safety guidelines to keep children safely contained. The rooms all have appropriate exits for fire and other hazards.

Within each classroom, we limit access to volunteers and students only. Parents and other guests are not invited into the classrooms.

Each of our children’s classes has a minimum of two leaders to maintain order and safety. No child will ever be alone with an adult, ever.

Ushers and safety personnel walk the hallways regulating Antioch safety guidelines.

Covid-19 Safety

Antioch follows the current Washington State and King County mask and vaccination mandates. We recognize health and religious exemptions.

If you are feeling sick please stay home and join us in person when you are feeling better.

Mask and vaccination choices are decisions we believe parents have full authority over. No one will ask you about your status of either decision when you check in.

If an attendee in class tests positive for COVID-19 everyone in that class will receive a notice and we recommend testing before re-joining us in person.
